I am heading to Capetown next week to work for a couple of months and want to get a hold of a 1200gs for the duration of my stay.
Does any one know of any for sale?
I have emailed BMW in capetown but no response as yet?

I was down your way in Dec, skimmed along the nw border, was riding from Joburg to capetown! it was utterly fantastic! cannot wait to get back out on the road there. Swartbegs pass was just brilliant.
and once again, thanks for the "friendly non patronising" advice!

Howdy - so you visiting my hometown, when I come over there next week!

as mentioned - the Wilddog.za.net/forum site is good.

Rental here is around R 1600/day for a GS (expensive) but if you want to buy a good 2nd hand unit, you might also be surprised at the cost....

i cannot wait!, the only down side is that i have to work a six day week so only one day to play each week!
i may be staying on at the end of the contract to get some real play time!

Blimey - would have loved to do a run. Problem is that I'm getting all ready for Monday's trip to the UK (London Motorcycle show)
Are you going to be down in Cape Town at all.... I'm sure a beer or two would be in order... but listen, I fly back on 6th Feb - so if you are around then we can definitely do a run.
The Wilddogs here in the Cape do runs most Saturdays & Sundays - as do the BMW Motorcycle club.

Hey Goose - I know Loz - met him several times while he lived in the UK - great BMW fan - he had a 1100 or 1150RT the last I knew - believe he may have taken it over there when he "went home" !!
