Are you all still hiding

A bit 'technical'!

Sorry Gary but I just don't fancy that descent or the mud on a GSA :yikes

I'll leave the 'technical' stuff to you experienced boys :P

I know my limits :o

hopefully my tech 3s will hold my ankle together:eek:

I can always use the trusty xl anyway

:hide I don't get it either Gary:nenau , the worst thing that can happen is that you fall off at virtually zero speeds:eek:
Honestly your bike won't mind falling over:rob .
I consider myself a novice at off roading, but have got more confident by doing it.....it's a bit like Canoeing:topic ......... if your not falling in/off your not trying
I know it's a 9k bike thats already worth a lot less but how much less do you think it will be worth with a few scuffs and scrapes than a typical pristine pansie GS thats never been down the road:eek: , the wall  , never left out over night:eek: , never seen the rain bike when you come to sell it. :nenau
Lets say you keep it 2 years, used it properly had loads of fun and so by the time you come to sell it you might get 6 or 700 quid less for it than a minter............must be worth that easily for 2 years or more of fun, I mean how much fun did you have in Morocco?? How much did that cost.........................use it and abuse it but maintain it and get out of your comfort zone in safety ... after all you even have TKC's now:thumb  :D
Oh and by the way I have no intention of trashing my 1200 with 5k of extras either or my G/S.............but unless your very unlucky you just don't damage them coming off at bimble speeds. The worst i've done so far is ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, nothing:D Oh sorry I broke a mirror once and scuffed the handguard , did bend the one crashbar on the G/S on the cambrian rally but that was riding much more aggressively:bounce1 (i'll probably totally trash it now next time out:thumb  )

I do ride it, and off road too, but I don't want to trash it and I know what I feel comfortable doing at the moment.

If / when I buy a trail bike I'd be happy to give those lanes a bash but I feel I only have one chance on the GS and if it gets away from me then it's going down. Even a slow speed tumble can cost plenty on a bike where the tank alone is going to set you back £500+ if you dent it.

There's no point in me taking part in something if I'm not going to enjoy it and just looking at those pictures leads me to suspect that I'm not up to that standard.
