Just noticed the exhaust compression ring on one side is the wrong way around......so downpipes coming off tomorrow just to turn the ring around

Took my RS out today after having the rear shocks overhualed, vast improvement.

Interesting in that the Clymer manual shows the compression ring correctly fitted but the Haynes manual shows it arse about tit !! Anyway, 30 mins work and all sorted anyway now
Even had time to fit lovely chrome crash bars on the R100T
....but still flummixed as to why the R100T tacho won't rev ( engine does ! ) past 4 thou. Replaced the tacho innards but problem still identical ( tacho for sale now ) so tacho all OK...checked the wire from the right coil and all cleaned and looks good. I can only summize that there is some resistance in the wire from the coil to the tacho etc etc......but getting out of my depth here !!!
