As the crow flies?

I've noticed that on destinations sourced through the food/hotel menu and those saved in favourites the distances quoted are considerably less than the actual journey.

Anyone know why?

It would have to plot a route to every one of the POIs from your current position, would take a long time. Straight as the crow flies is a decent practical compromise I think.

Once you select one as a destination and opt to route to it it'll work out the on-road distance.
