Airhead day

So what is the OP hoping to achieve by posting this? - other than pretty much ensuring there'll be no further airhead days for the rest of us!
The finger's clearly being pointed at one of the three organisers who gave up their time to bring us this day.
Well I was one of those fortunate enough to attend the day and can say that where the bike on the lift was concerned I recall seeing three, maybe four tossers at one time tightening and adjusting stuff on this bike. The day turned out to be a hands-on tutorial and certainly, I wouldn't have volunteered one of my bikes for that!
So if the OP is pointing his finger at the group in general then so be it. But that's not the way it's coming across. It was a great day and I've not heard a bad word said about it. Until now.
Dave.

I'm sure all those present would agree it was a great day. It just goes to show that the horror stories that are spread around are indeed true. No one has had my finger pointed at them, it's just one of those things that can happen. Duncan enthused for 5 minutes or so about what can happen. We now have proof that it does. My angle was to share learning not put anyone down. Sorry if you saw it otherwise. Moving on, statistically my bike is now good for many thousands of miles to come.
More airhead, oilhead and empty head days needed, bring them on. I'd like to see the next level, fork seals, wheel bearing shimming, basic electrics etc etc.

You sure you read the same postings that I read?

I never got any of that, where is any finger pointing? am I just to stupid to notice?

I was there too, Duncan taught me more stuff in the couple of hours than I had gleaned from years of reading my Haynes manual
"Sharing is caring" so I wouldn't have read anything negative, just a bit of good humoured banter.
Anyway, I'm off to drill my earth strap retaining bolt as I never realised it was a breather too, thanks Duncan.:beerjug:

Bring on the next Airhead Day-
I was thinking maybe carbs/ ignition, and also
stripping front forks, as contenders for the next one?
Maybe a weekend event....
Might even arrive by bike too!
