ASC, ABS, and Speedometer fail on 2nd set of wheels

Hi guys

Hope you can help.

Bought a 2nd set of wheels from a trashed GSA to put a set of TKC's on

I swapped the wheels for the first time this afternoon ... all went well except I have the brake failure, and ASC lights on constantly, and the speedometer doesn't work!

I put the original wheel back on and all works fine,

The 2nd set looks like it has the appropraite ABS ring.

Is there some other secret sensor I'm missing?

Rather bizarre.

Are the ABS rings the same when inspected closely?

No gapped segments/open segments for a deliberately irregular pulse being sensed?

The same air gap(s) when wheels mounted between the ABS sensor and the ring(s) ?

It sounds like the bike isn't receiving a square wave output from the ABS sensor with the new wheels fitted, hence the warnings you are getting.
 
I know from experience that the ABS rings are different on the 04 and the 07 GS. :confused:

I have both rings if you are interested in buying one. yuo can pm me for details.

on closer inspection the ABS rings are clearly different ... despits being promised that the wheels were off an identical 08 GSA ...

original on left .... 2nd hand on right ... excuse mud (just dropped the bike in a swamp!)

talonfs ... do you have one like the the one on the left?
