ASC- gimmick or help

I rode the GS through all weathers in London without ASC. You've got to be really ham fisted to get the thing to spin up, even when greasy. But there's no harm in having a bit of electronics to help...........as long as it doesn't go wrong :)

but..

nothing ever goes wrong on 1200's Sir....:augie :D

Another marketing gimmick to differentiate BMW products from the others out there - which is fair enough, but in practice it's all a bit unecessary really; just like those Servo ABS brakes that were dropped once they became a liability.

It strikes me as a 'solution looking for a problem' - good on BMW for trying though - because 'mad' ideas sometimes lead to real progress.

Didn't need ABS either and certainly don't need ASC. Have survived 20 odd years riding without it.

So, what are the chances I'm going to slide of the road tomorrow having said that? :blast

More electrical shite to go wrong...............

Do you need it?

Have you needed it on any of your previous bikes?

If not, why waste another £215

Just ordered my new bike with ASC. Hope I,ve made the right choice:nenau Still very happy with the deal I got, I can't wait:clap
