Rhodri Bogbrush (check his hairstyle)
Has in his infinite wisdom declined an invitation to commemorate our war dead and chosen to attend some sort of golf junket at the celtic manor hotel instead:mad:
This is the man who, as head of the extra layer of local government that is (apart from a waste of time & money) the welsh talking shop and laughingly calls itself the W.A.G. (welsh assembly government) would normally attend the opening of a packet of crisps!
I am Welsh and proud of it,but this bunch of tossers make my blood boil

Shame on him,he's an embarrasment to all Welsh people!

I thought that was Prince Handy Andy, the former TV wood worker, that snubbed the D-Day celebrations to play golf in Scotland?

Mind you as an Englishman with Irish and Scots blood way back in the ancestry I'd always be ashamed to be called Welsh.

I would never be ashamed to be Welsh , Just ashamed this tosser is part of the system.

His argument is that he is attending a meeting of the organisers of a massive future Golfing tournament to be held at the Celtic Manor, nr Newport. A good enough reason with any normal date, but today is no normal date - it is the 6oth anniversary of D-Day, probably the last official one as the numbers of veterans attending each year obviously gets less and less. Few of us are lucky enough not to have to prioritise our time, but this is one commemoration none of us should miss in some form or another, let alone a national leader. This is one decision I think will come back to haunt him come the next election.

Funny enough, Scotlands First Minister Jack "The Arsehole" McConnel had also arranged to go to a golfing dinner rather than attend the d-day celebrations. There was a sudden change of heart when his office was unindated with complaints. Still doesnt stop him being an Arsehole :anger:

Learn to swim, then you could become Irish. The Irish are always proud to be Irish. As are the Americans, and quite a lot of English people.

You are right, it is shameful that R.Morgan chose the golf thingy over D Day celebrations. I too am disusted.

BUT, how many old Welsh troops would have picked up on his absence if it wasn't for gutter press? None of us would have been down the pub saying to our mates "Disgusting that Rhodri missing the D Day ..."

The gutter press (...cus that's what each and every one of them is...in the gutter), and this includes TV reporters, are lapping up the follow-up complaints and moans. They couldn't give two sh*ts whether he went or not; they are only interested in reaction from the public and making a name for themselves.

Who pointed out his absence to them??? Elections looming, "lets steal a few votes from his party by stirring the shite...it doesn't matter that our party is also full of liars, hypocrites and tw*tas feathering their own nests".

Our lives are just a continual conspiracy by the people in control!!!

Yes quite right, that was slightly tounge in cheek although I have always detected an 'overall' differerent attitude in many from the North and West.

Think I'll get my coat on this topic though:)

Concieved and lived in Cornwall and happy to call myself Cornish:confused:

ex hornet 900

gutter press blah blah,
conspiracy theories blah blah,

Fact; Rhodri Bogbrush went to a golf freebie when there events of greater importance he could have attended:confused:
The organisers have another 6 years to sort out the "open" at the Celtic Manor, how many WW2 veterans will be around then ?

If he has P.A. or press secratary/publicist he should sack em:eek:

Our Local evening paper The South Wales Echo carries a picture of Rhodri dressed in all his splendour at said golf freebie,
creased khaki cargo pants-that unzip at the knee!
beige shirt (slept in by the look of it)
Grey suit jacket,
Red tie
First Minister indeed!

As the Echo says; "The spirit of Compo lives on":hapybnce:
