Having had a bit of a disagreement with Astle when they were still Harveys,I have over the last 10yrs bought and had my bikes serviced in othe parts of Yorkshire though Astle are my nearest dealer (26mls).
In recent month's I'd heard some good things about Astle,so decided to give them another go,although I was not confident that they could match the offer from another dealer to swap my 59 1200gsmu for a new 1200gstu.
In the end they asked me what I wanted to be able to do the deal with them,and to be fair to Tony who is now the bike sales manager,I believe he was parts manager in the car dept,he appeared to work very hard to get me that deal.
Tony owns his own 1200gs as well as running the demo bike on a daily basis,and made it very clear that he wanted to achieve some recognition for Astle's bike dept.
All in all a very pleasant experience,it all seemed to be about what I wanted and what they could do to help me achieve it.
They even agreed to do future servicing at the same price as the lowest cost I could find elswhere.
So I'm off on tuesday to order my new bike,lets hope that the level of service continues.
