I have a autocom and a zumo a bluetooth dongle and phone and bike to bike!

The zumo is currently wired to the autocom with part 1299
The bluetooth dongle talks to the autocom
The phone talks to the Zumo
Everything seems to work ok

Problem is - I want to duplicate the system on my wifes GS and have been told to get a 1314 from the autocom to the zumo.

which is correct and what's the difference?

Also does anyone have a simple explanation of a power supply relay? I'm a electrical novice and would like to power the setup from the battery with a relay activated from the accessory socket?

Thanks in advance

Is your wife going to be running a phnoe via the Zumo? If not the part 1314 can be used by itself as it will connect the music and GPS straight into the system.

The part 1299 or even better connection Part 1273/1276's all depending on which system is being used will connect the phone also. the part 1299 as you know will connect the phone, GPS and music etc.

She will be running the phone to the Zumo and then using autocom bluetooth from the zumo to the autocom for the phone
its a post 06 active plus.

I'm only confused as I have Zumo connected with a 1299 and then have the bluetooth dongle talking to the Zumo and the zumo talking to the phone - when I phoned to order the same bits for Liisa's bike I was told I didnt need to do that and that the 1314 would do a better job.

I didnt understand the rapid answer as to why and am no wondering if which is the correct way to do this and why

cheers

mmmmm thats the thing the Part 1299 normally connects the phone, gps and the music from the Zumo if not other leads are going to be used. but the phone side of the Part 1299 can be disconnected if a BT dongle was to be used. So the dongle would handle the phone and the remaining part of the Part 1299 the music and GPS etc

so if you are starting from scratch a Part 1273 and 1314 would get her connected job done :)

Now, if I could only remember what i had to disable in the Zumo when I added the dongle?
