I've had the autocom 300 for 6 months, working great, same goes for the tomtom rider2, I bought the autocom bluetooth dongle a month later and all seemed to be working great until recentley, Instructions from tomtom, ipod & mobile all worked no problem.
Now for some reason over the last few weeks all is not well, ipod doesn't seem as loud as when i first set everything up, checked ipod volume, checked rider/pillion & fade setting on autocom all appear to be ok.
Tomtom rider2 spoken instruction is very hit and miss as is the mobile connection.
I want to reset everything just to make sure all is set as it should be.
Is there a specific order that I should be setting up each bit of kit, any help would be great fully received, I did fit everything in the first place and that's the annoying bit now that it doesn't seem to be mating up as it should.

Kit is as listed below.

Autocom 300
Autocom bluetooth dongle
Motrola Z10 mobile

There is not a lot you can reset to be honest mate. The problem could be headset related if all of the volume levels are going down or they are not as loud as they were.

Where are you based as we might need to give your headset or full system a good check over?

Cheers

Cheers Rich,
As I said I've had it all working as it should for months, and then all of a sudden no mobile connection, and no spoken instruction from tomtom.
Thank you for getting back to me, I'm in Blackpool.

Up dated tomtom about 2 weeks ago, but the connection faults started before the update, do you think a reset factory settings is in order?
Am I right in thinking that would take it back to a previous version, and then if it makes no differance just update tomtom again.

Thanks again, Rich

The reason for asking is that the latest BT version is riddled with problems so I thought this could be something that is causing you the problems. Yeah a master reset and repair to your BT dongle might be worth a try.

I'm with you on the master reset on the tomtom, but when you say BT dongle repair, is that the autocom dongle that plugs into the main unit, if so how do I go about that?
gonna owe you a pint or 3 for your help.
Thanks again

Sorry for no reply in the day ive been at donington playing around in cars shooting a new dvd for our show stand at the NEC, we're are at Bruntingthorpe on the bikes in the cars tomorrow so a bit of high speed driving will be fun :)

Anyhow pairing wise yeah your BT dongle as in the part 1273/6. If you pop out the two grommits at the end of your dongle you will see an LED and also a button. If you press the button down for 6 sec or so the LED will stay on. release the button then reapply for another 6secs then the LED will flash rapidilly. this is to show that the dongle is set on searching mode. Set the Rider to search for headsets and touch wood the two devices will talk to each other and auto connect. job done :)

Drink wise oooooooh that sounds like a good plan to me :thumb

Don't you go over doing the enjoyment, with all this car and bike driving business. Enjoy but take care.
I'm kart racing at the wekend with my son inlaw, a 2hr endurance, hopefully the rain will hold off.
Thanks again I'll give it a try this weekend and let you know.
Best Regards
Martyn
