autocom 5 pin help

Hi all.
First time poster to this section and would like your advice please.
I have an autocom Pro-M1 wired in to my 1100. It has 5 pin leads.
I've managed to get hold of two 5 pin headsets, in the form of an Easicom V8.
I now need two 5 pin headset extension leads, which are like the proverbial rocking horse doo - doo to obtain.
I've managed to get one lead, but not having a great deal of success with the other.
Saw these at Maplins and wondered if one of them would do the job?
(assuming they are the same fitting)

Have you called Sam at Chainspeed? He supplies all the old gear!

Yes.
He is really knowledgable and helpful, but no luck.
Says they are now really rare.

Are you sure?
The grey leads are for bike to bike and won't work with the standard 5 pin plug (60 degree pins as opposed to 180 degree pins).
It needs to be a specific extension lead.
That was Sam's advice.
I need part 30 or 31

I managed to buy one 30 this morning, but got told it was the last the guy had.

Have I missed a couple?

Hi Ian,

If it is an extension, and a standard DIN, then our part MID-MEX should be fine for your purposes.

We can certainly copy a lead if you send it in, subject to the availability of parts.

hi.
I would welcome your advice please.
I have a motorcycle intercom system (Autocom).
It has a 5 pin din plug (male) at the headset and a 5 pin din plug (female) at the power source.
I am trying to get hold of a 5 pin din extension lead to connect the two - with no luck.
Well, not strictly true, i've managed to find one, but i need another!!
Am I being naive in believing that a standard 5 pin din plug extension lead from yourselves, male to female, could act as an alternative extension lead?
If not, would you have any suggestions?
If I sent you the lead I have, would you be able to copy the wiring if necessary?

Tbh, the one I've just bought as new/old stock was only £9.99.
He told me it took ages to sell, because most people have the 7 pin sets.
Happy to give you £10 for one lead, posted....
I'm also happy to see if the lead i've just bought for £4 off Ebay works.

That's still more expensive than the new one i've bought and still around £40 for the three.
As stated, I think my offer to you is fair for a used extension lead that retails new at £9.99.

I realise that for the sake of £3, I may lose a lead.
Supply and demand etc.

According to the November 2001 Autocom price list part no. EL-5-HS-C HEADSET Extension Lead Coiled was £28 and the straight one was £17.

It is no longer current today, so lead prices are dictated by the demand for them.

Just a point of information, as ever. No axe to grind or side to take. I do find it amusing that the current 7-pin coiled lead is only £14, what with inflation and all that....
I am delighted at your successful transaction.

I also have a 5-pin straight lead with a socket for in-ear monitors if you find yourself in the position of needing one.

Is that 5 pin to normal earphone jack plug?
I've just made some custom earplugs thing with a set of sennheiser ear buds.
How much are you looking for?
