Can you get adapters cables to convert a 7 pin Autocom helmet plug into a 5 pin Autocom helmet?

If so, will it work and what will I lose out on??

On a similar subject, at work our helmets have a Sonic plug, is there a connector which allows you to connect to Autocom, making use of the existing Sonic mike and speakers?

There is an off-the shelf cable to go from a 7-plug to go into a older 5-pin socket.
You should find that a 5-pin plug goes straight into the 7-pin socket - you will lose out on some volume into the helmet. Possibly not enough to notice depending on the type of earplugs worn.

Autocom might make a Sonic-compatible cable for you, otherwise you'll have to do it yourself.

Depending on which 5 pin system you are running you could run our Part 195 £17 (straight extension lead) or a Part 196 £28 (Colied extension lead) but the systems would need to be either our Eurocom, Pro M1 or Easi V8.

As for Sonic headsets as we do not recommend them we would not supply any connections to allow for them to be used with our systems.
