I've got an Autocom Pro-7 Sport.

I can plug my phone into it and, set on auto-answer, it will answer calls, the Autocom will link up the phone to the helmet speakers and microphone, and I can talk to the caller no problem. So far so good.

But, I want to initiate calls whilst riding without touching the phone. The phone (a SonyEricsson S700i :D ) has a "magic word" facility where you say a phrase (like "use the f'ing phone") which tells the phone that you want to make a call, you then speak the name of the person you want to call, and the phone makes the call.

But...it doesn't work when plugged into the Autocom. My thoughts are that the voice circuit to the phone from the Autocom microphone is not open unless the phone initiates it by answering a call.

Anyone know if this is the case and if there is a fix?

I had an Autocom Easy 7 linked up to my old Ericsson T29 (just changed it for a Starcom 1 which works a lot better!) and that worked with voice command. I had to re-record my voice commands through the helmet microphone though before it would recognise the commands. Have you tried that?

On my previous phone (Nokia) I had to re-record my voice when using the hands free kit because it couldn't recognise it when recorded using the normal handset mic, perhaps it the same prob.
