draws it's power from the Autocom unit which is why is must be plugged into a specific port.

The Part 1273 takes it power from our latest systems 2007 onwards via the AUX1 sockets, any thing older then runs a Part 1276 which runs a seperate power feed normally wired to where the comms take their power from.
