Autocom easi plus 150 Duo

Ive bit the bullet and bought an autocom easi plus 150 Duo for me and the misses splat of fleabay france.

I want to listen to my zumo (which also plays my MP3) and i want me and she to have independant volume controls. Im fairly sure ive bought the right unit (if my french translation is good!!) Im just wanna make sure with you guys that im right.

Also does it come with a talk button or is that an extra option, i tend to sing as i ride and she is alittle concerned that she's gonna have to listen to my wailing all day!

Im also assuming that this is a battery operated model and i will need to buy the 12v to 9v reducer.

Can anyone confirm or deny the above.

Thanks guys. Matt

Hi Matt,

To be honest our Active Plus (kit 200 or kit 200 duo) is the starter system for our customers want to run a GPS as the Easi is mainly sold as portable system for the occasional user.

As the Easi runs open mics not VOX as on the Active your singing will come through to both headsets, the PTT option is olny for bike to us nothing to with the rider and pillion set up regarding the singing.

The Easi can be bke powered no problems, you will need our bike power lead which ive forgotten the part number.....(ive had a hard one at the NEC getting our stand ready for the bike show) but its £17.99 and two extension leads for the headsets straight at £20 via part 1179's or £28 for coiled versions via parts 1183's.

To connect the Zumo our Parts 1273 £75 (bluetooth phone dongle)and Part 1314 £28 (isolated music lead) would be the beeter parts to run or use from our parts range.

HTH if not I will keep an eye on this thread or you can email me at work enquiries@autocom.co.uk if you want your questions answered a lot quicker.

Thanks Rich, when i get the unit i will be in touch for add ons :thumb2

No worries at all, I can help you with part numbers or quiries no problems at all but you will need to speak with Splash Design our distributor for Beguim for any ordering etc.

The part number for the power lead is 1533 by the way ;)

Matt,

When you do get down to ordering parts to hook up the Zumo, do be clear about whether you are going to need the mobile phone link as well. Also remember that the Easi-Plus main unit is not stereo for music but high-quality binaural mono.

You could easily spend a lot more on extra cables/dongles that you probably spent on the kit off Fleabay and gain nothing from it if they give functionality that you don't need or can't use.

Also specify whether you are bike-powering the Zumo or using internal batteries.

Hope this helps,

John

Thanks for the replies.

I am using my zumo wired directly to the battery.

I dont need to be connected to my phone (im not availiable, im riding!!)

I dont want or need bluetooth (so much cost to replace a wire or 2 i cant justify!)

I bought with the autocom part no 1198, for my flip helmet, im figuring i just need the power lead (1533) and im thinking thats about it.

Unit should be here next week so i will know more then.

Thanks again guys. Matt :beerjug:

So if you are wanting the Zumo just for music and GPS then you can run our Part 1314 which is an isolated music lead. So parts wise I would recommend

1x Part 1314 (Zumo connection)
1x Part 1533 (bike powered lead)
Either 2x Part 1179's (straight extension leads)
Or 2x Part 1183 (Coiled extension leads)

The Part 1198 will only be needed on a pure open face helmet unless you are going to wear a flip front with the chin guard up.

All you'll need for sound is the part 1314 - isolated music lead to go from the Zumo to the Aux 2 socket on the Easi-Plus.

Just as I have said for the Zumo connections! But he will also need the other parts as he is wanting the Easi to be bike powered, everything is covered onthe parts list as above
