First of all I hope this thread will be mod friendly and I do not get into trouble.

Just to let you guys know we are currently doing another sale to clear some stock ready for our new systems which are due around the NEC show time so price wise as the below

1x Kit 150 Duo £75
1x Kit 200 Duo £100
1x Kit 300 Duo £140

As we are selling more Duo kits our standard kits are still at their normal retail prices so grab yourself some bargains

Cheers

Hi.

I all ready have a Duo200 for rider to pillion use, but now my Sarah Teach has passed her test, she has her own GS so we could do with up-grading to a bike to bike arrangement
Can any of these reduced units be used in this?
Do you also sell radio units that are compatible with this set up required?

Thanks.

Timpo.

Hi Timpo,

Right then mate I would recommend the below as buying a kit works out cheaper than buying an Active Plus main control unit by itself but you will have a few spare headsets etc.

So parts wise

1x Kit 200 Duo £100 (Gets you an Active rider and pillion kit)
2x Part 1401's £120 (Midland G7 transceivers)
2x Part 1435 £26 (Midland interfaces)

Cheers

Rich

Hi Anne,

The first port of call would be ideally via a dealer, but if you do not have any local to you we can supply you direct

Cheers

Rich

I knew they wouldn't come down in price again til I bought mine, only got it in July :blast

Thuder Road in South Wales are going to be doing the kits half price or that is the info I was given when speaking to them this week.

Hi GsRich,
I have a Pro Avi (kit 300) and have used it for Garmin etc. I have just purchased two interide PMR's (with kenwood fittings). My idea, is that when I go out with one of various mates who hasn't got any coms, then I could loan them a radio. I was assuming that I would need just a head set to plug into the radio (with a PTT)??

Or should I get one of these kits you have on offer?

Hi,

Ideally your mate would need a full system to allow for a clearer or better quality set up. So the cheapest set up would bewith the below

1x Kit 200 Duo £100 (Active Duo kit)
1x Part Wintec £35 (Wintec interface lead if you are looking at the Wintecs)

Cheers

Timpo,

sorry for slightly hijacking the thread here! :augie

I have recently inherited a old autocom system (5 pin standard) I think it is a old Pro system.

question 1) Is there such thing as a 5 pin to 7 pin adapter to allow my helmet to be used on a friends bike that is current 7 pin standard

question 2) what kit parts will I need to set mine up for a bike to bike (using Kenwood TK3202) I already have the radios, just need the adapter leads and PTT?

Again sorry for the hijack guys!

Regards

Simon

these autocom thingys confuse me, what would be the cheapest way to get a very simple rider to pillion kit?

Im hiring a GS for my hols soon and the wife wants to be able to chat.....

Rich, I already have an Active7 Smart with an iCom PMR.

I added a Zumo the other week but phone side of it is virtualy unusable. Would one of these newer systems be a better option and enable the Zumo phone to function as well as stereo music?

Half price has come at just the right time but need some advise as I am a complete novice with regard to bike comms.

I want the usual functions Rider to Pillion, music, phone, and sat nav, but would like blue tooth rather than leads (rider to pillion ok with lead).

Would the 300 duo support these with bluetooth (I presume an add on).

I have a GS1200 2008 and any advice on best place to fit it would be welcome. Is there a lead from Autocom for the BMW power outlet.

Thanks

excuse my continued stupidity but i am guessing the 'kit 150 duo' for £75 has everything i need for rider-pillion? incl headphones mic etc...? is it easy to set up? do you have to plug into the bike?

Simon,

1, It would depend on which model of Pro you have as not all of our headsets can be connected.

2, TK3202 I have never heard of this model, what wattage is it running on?

Mattmeister, the Kit 150 will supply you everything you need for a portable rider and pillion kit. If you are wanting a bike powered system a Kit 200 Duo would be more suited.

Paul G All depending on which connections you are running these could be changed for our Parts 1276 and 1314 to allow for a higher phone level and also stereo music, cheaper than a new system and leads at £103.

GS-Chris Which GPS are you looking at running?

ok ok, i did look at the link, i was just checking... :augie

doesnt seem much price difference (£25 then £40) to go for the higher spec kits - any one got any opinion/experience as to which one is best value... seems the 150 is not voice activated so presumably its PTT?

I doubt it as there is no PTT cable/switch in the schematics or list of contents PLUS it says this (see below) in the spec' so I am guessing voice activated:thumb

* Foolproof open channel performance guaranteed to 160mph.
* Side tone-duplex intercom-instantaneous voice activation for normal speech patterns
