Is it possible to make a straight lead into a curly one?

to save a lot of time and effort I would just buy a coiled extension lead, for £14 its far less hassle. if you coil a straight extenion lead you will make it a lot shorter and you will might not get it to coil or keep coiled if you can see where I am coming from
