A big thank you, and a heads up for Sam at www.chainspeed.co.uk just outside Carmarthen, and Wales's only approved Autocom dealer. He is mentioned on the Autocom website, and before relocating to Wales, he worked at the main Warwickshire site. He fitted the Autocoms to both Elvie's and my bike, and spent hours getting the headsets comfortable in the helmets. ( Arai's take less than a minute ) If anyone needs any Autocom bits, or advice, or fitting, he is well worth bearing in mind, and save a trip up to the Midlands.

2 bikes, one of which was a new 650 so he hadn't done one before, my 1200 which I wanted plumbed into my top box. Both running off the bike batteries, so more plumbing. 2 helmets, including a revisit yesterday to get the fit absolutely right. He worked on the bikes and helmets in total over the 2 visits for over 6 hours, and charged us 60 quid. A bargain in my opinion. He didn't even make a profit on supplying the kit as I bought it on special offer at the bike show last year.

I bought a unit a month or so ago from him good as gold, cancelled a fit the day before due to snow ,no problem.Just need a day now to get up there , will post when it's fitted to the katoom.

Sorry the 60 quid was something else. He charged £35/hr + vat but only charged for three hours despite taking six.

Chainspeed

Hiya Folks

Sam just fitted a Prov-Avi, Tom Tom Dongle, Bike to Bike etc., to my GS 1200 Adv. What a nice Guy and what an excellent service. Turned up at 0830 talked through what I wanted and then parked me up with fresh coffee and the newspapers.

He also fitted the headsets to my Schuberth C2 (no easy job) and my wife's Roof.

Sam is great, laid back, does a deal and is an expert at what he does........highly recommended. :)

Elvie noticed that the volume from her newly acquired Zumo was a little low even on full chat, so she arranged to call in to see Sam at Chainspeed. He had initially fitted the headst well over 1 year ago. He spent quite some time fine tuning the headset installation and sorted the problem, and then refused to accept payment, saying it was all part of the Autocom service! Great service and great chap. Thanks very much Sam.

And I've been told that his workshop is unbelievable. :eek

Chainspeed are literally about 8 mins from my house, so he's worth bearing in mind.
