I have a shoei Raid III which, if you own one, you know is a tight fit. I have an autocom unit that I use just for listening to music 95% of the time. The autocom speakers dont fit (if anyone has actually got these to fit without potruding enough to hurt your lobes please let me know).

I have a pair of sennheiser (? cant remember the spelling) in ear phones which are good, but they do move about after a while and become uncomfortable and lose their noise cancelling properties.

Can anyone recommend me something custom perhaps, experiences of ultimate ears and the such like?

Its doing my head (and ears ) in, i miss my music...

if you can

carefully remove the outer material on the pads where you intend to place the speakers, and make a small indentation with the back of a hot dessert spoon for the speaker to sit in. Replace the outer material and Robert's your mum's brother. Speaker placement is obviously very important, if poss. try to get them like the photo below.

I have a set of custom monitors from hearyourself.com Triple driver units that are utterly amazing for sound quality. Have worn them on the bike and they block out loads of noise while allowing you to listen to music at a low level that's not damaging to your hearing.

They can be a bit awkward putting your helmet on and off because they're hard plastic but once you get the hang of them it's fine.

That said, I recently bought an autocom and I using their helmet speakers for now, going to see how I get on with that and foam plugs while I get everything set to my satisfaction and then decide if I want to get the adapter to use my earphones instead. I like the lack of hassle with having everything fitted into my helmet.

Justin.
