Have a GSA for few week and plan to get communication system for me and wife (with posssiblity to switch her off when talking too much :JB) Thinking about Autocom, but wire of new bloototh system ?

Have following gadgets I would like to connect into the system:

1. Garnin Zumo 550
2. Nokia N 95 and E 71 cell phones
3. Helmets I will buy brand new for both of us with reccomended comms equipment.

Would like to AVOID Nolan N-com (meaning NO-COM) I have installed on current N-102 helmet, as it's really piece of shit.

Looking for reccomendations, thanks in advance,

I like to keep rechargeable kit to the minumum as I often camp so rechanging is a pain, especially as some Bluetooth dongles cannot be used while charging so it means leaving them to charge on the bike while parked.

My old GS, my current GSA and my wife's CS are set up with Autocoms hard wired to Zumos and bike to bike radios which only leaves mobile phone to Zumo for Bluetooth. As the phones can be charged while driving they are effectively hard wired as well.

Also of course there are outlets from Autocom on both bikes for pillion use.

It's simple, reliable and works perfetly with no charging or pairing problems.

Just to let you know all of our systems are still FULLY WIRED as we do not beleive in wireless or bluetooth headsets due to the poor performance they offer compared to our fully wired systems.

My Autocom is a few years old now, is wired and gives excellent results upto speeds way over 100mph. I've previously had my GPS connected but don't like the spoken instructions and connected my 'phone but didn't like that either - nothing wrong with the functionality though. Oh and the wires are no hassle whatsoever.

My Autocom is many miles old and has been reinstalled in my recently bought GS. Hardwired to both hats and the Zumo550. Superb performance, can talk at speed rather than shout. Spares easy to come by online. The GS tool tray is a good place to fit the Autocom.::rob

What model of Autocom you guys can suggest me ? As I said I would like to connect Zumo 550, two helmets, and two cellulars (nokia)

Thanks in advance,

Autocom Super Pro Automatic.
Hardwire Zumo to Autocom using parts 2190, 2248 and 2245 then Bluettooth riders cellular to Zumo.
Add in Bluetooth dongle part 2223 to Autocom, then Bluettooth passenger cellular to dongle.

John has pretty much summed it up or the second phone colud be connected via a lead all depending on which phone you are planing on using.
