I'm possibly trying to get it to do something that isn't possible so please put me right.

I only want to use the unit as an intercom for rider to pillion but I also wanted the option to completely switch off the connection for the times that we can't be bothered communicating
Bought a used PTT switch from this forum a while back and have only just got round to fitting it after buying the appropriate connecting lead (part No. 2356, Hub side radio lead).

The switch doesn't do anything, regardless of the toggle position or whether the switch is pressed or not the system just works the same as it always has (VOX).
Either the PTT won't do what I thought it would or the switch is farked and someone has sold me a dud

Please enlighten me...

Hi Fella,

The PTT button is specifically designed to operate Bike to Bike radios. It carries out no other function.

With autocom, if rider and pillion both have their headsets plugged in then you're live, there's no switching it off.

Oh bugger then, I completely mis-read and thought that it could do something it wasn't designed to

Thanks for clarifying.

Mike.
