I'm looking to get an intercom system now that the boy likes to tag along with me.

What I want to be able to do is supply him with music from an mp3 player, but not be able to hear it myself (especially with the rubbish he listens to!!).

Am I right in thinking that I can only do this with the built-in fader system on the Autocom Super Pro-Avi, or are there add-on bits that will achieve the same result with other models?

i've got a starcom1, set C (Bike 2 Bike) which you can have your MP3 player, mobile phone, all connected at the same time, as long as you set and adjust the volume correctly, mine worked fine, but have now taken it off the bike now

it is for sale if your are interested, all boxed up - only 3 months old

PM me if you are interested

Cheers Adrian

I don't think what you want you will be able to do, as if you turn your rider volume down, you won't be able to hear him talk.

But the Autocom Pro Rider/Pro-Rider Duo has a Front/Rear stereo fader control, which allows you to adjust the level of audio coming in on Aux 2 and Aux 3 (normally stereo music) between rider and passenger.

Voice operation remains unaffected. I was just wondering whether the same result is possible using any "add-ons", to save forking out for the top-of-the-range jobbie.

get him decent earplug headphones.

I've got the starcom1 system with b2b comms and GPS and to keep thing simple I use my custom earplug/phones for teh MP3 and have the gps and comms through the starcom
