I've recently brought an autocom system for the bike and want to power it though a Switched fusebox. The problem is, there doesn't appear to be any room for the 2 boxes where they are protected from water and still accessable. I've tried the small compartment under the seat and that is far too small !!! Anybody else had this problem and how did you solve it ?
The bikes a 2010 GS btw.

Shove the Autocom where the owners handbook is meant to sit.

Stick the fuse block thing where the tool roll is meant to sit..... or power the Autocom via a flying lead from the under seat aux power socket thing, where it will be switched and fused anyway. See sticky: 'Switched power the easy way'.

Putting them in either place will not result in any harm, trust me.

Cheers Wapping, will have another go tomorrow. I want the fuse block anyway as I've other bits I want to power from it. :beerjug:

Get a tool tube and put the tool roll in that, then put the autocom / switch box in the space where the tool roll lives.

Works for me

Have a peek at this thread first though

I've modded my tool space with a small ally shelf velcro'd in and made a shallow depression in the inner mudgard to creat more useable space. That way I've been able to keep the hella Power take off socket and also stack an autocom, fuzevblock and bluetooth module in there. The tool tube is for the PMR. The whole lot is reversible when I sell it.

BTW you'll need to seal up the slot which the rubber strap threads through as water ingresses through here right onto your lecky kit :blast
