On the 1300 GSA as anyone found a blanked -off connector near the headstock that can be used for another Aux socket or for a GPS to be hardwired in? On the earlier models and on my M1000R there was a connector under the front left hand side tank trim - wondered if there was anything similar on the new GSA. Was going to wire my cameras in and need a switched live - this connector was perfect as could just plug in to the loom

LHS was never a GPS point. LHS was always fog lights.
RHS is the GPS connection. So you either used that instead of the Nav prep cradle or a splitter on the back of the USB.

The GPS plug is under the front radar cover on the 1300GS so I presume it’s in the same place on the GSA

Should be a video on YouTube to show how to get to it , it’s simple on the GS

As PitaNaanRoti says, if you have nav prep it’s already used

If you want a switched live, and you are going into the headstock anyway, this lead will do the trick, it connects between the plug/socket for the satnav holder.

I've just fitted a Innovv K7 camera, I took my switched feed from the power to the left hand (near-side) pannier. If you remove the seats and take off the locking mechanism for the front seat you'll see the plug/socket going to the pannier against the frame on the left hand side. There are three wires in the plug/socket arrangement, the red is a switched live. I used a Posi-tap connector to pick it up, I had a red one like this in my bits and pieces and used that. It did the job a treat.

You'll see posts on line saying not to use these, but I have never had any issues with them, they are designed for automotive use. Besides, I used in on cable that goes to the pannier socket, so it can easily be repaired/replaced if it was a problem.
