AVG - Serial number?

Downloaded AVG 2 weeks ago (it IS version 7.5 but not latest release) - to load on a remote PC. When I ran Install it asked for the Serial Number that "was sent to you in an e-mail".

Never had this - am I missing something?

I cannot reload the latest version as the PC is 150 miles away and uses 56K modem.

All assistance gratefully accepted!

The free version doesn't ask for the serial number, it's inserted automatically when installing.
I suppose you know it's a 16mb plus, download. Have you got a flash/pen drive? If you have I'll pm you my h/address, send the drive to me I'll download and return it the same day I receive it if that's any help .

sounds like you downloaded AVG Pro instead of AVG Free.

nick a serial off the net

or

uninstall & load AVG Free
