use the bike for work a lot and i have to flit around sites and i need to carry a lap top,and its also good for pizza:thumb

I Like

If you ever decide to mass produce I'll take one. I have the same problem with the laptop. Take it home very night so it goes on my back. This afternoon we had a big rain storm going into Glasgow and I found some water in the bottom of the bag. Any more photos will be appreciated, maybe I'll get a gas bottle again and get the TIG machine out.

I have added some bungee hooks and painted it in primer before fitting it for a while to see if it works ok and needs any further tweaking before I paint it green to match the rest,I will fit it this weekend and take some more pics.

Do you have a DC set for welding ally?

Very neat. Topbox quite aerodynamic with front of Rover tacked on:eek: but not much room for you:blast:D

Hey!... I've got a welder... and am working on getting better at aluminium. (the reason I bought it)... :thumb2

I'd love to see pictures of it open, showing the inside, and if you have any digital plans for the thing... I'd have a go at making one for myself... :beerjug:

Al...

update

here's some more pic of the box, been useing it for a couple of weeks it needs a seal around the lid to keep water out and a stronger lock before I paint it to match the rest.

Any ideas on a seal and a lock?:nenau

Well two weeks ago there was a 9" grinder, an Invertor welding plant and welding leads, oh.. and a welding shield
(I had a nixer to do). Last week there was a complete Serow engine in there, Reonvore will testify to that. :thumb2
As for the rest of the time, there's some spare parts for a 1200, always handy, and some Ham and Pineapple Pizza.

The reasons I didnt go for a bigger one are that I like to have the flexability to carry stuff on top of this box,I can detach the givi if I want to,to strap big things on,Bags etc fit great betwenn the givi and rider with minimal hassle.

Basically if you look at the 1200 side on ive used "dead space "between the tail peice and the top of the pillion seat this includes the rear grab rail.
When touring just unclip givi and into hotel no hassle,Had BMW top box=shit, don't like panniers filtering=shit
Also I didnt want to spoil the good looks:augie

With the hinges on the back and it being front opening, I hope it doesn't accidentally open at speed.
