Back to the gs 1100 / 1150

Hi,
Just got rid of my Africa Twin and now thinking again about a GS. I will have a budget of about £3500, do you have one for sale or could you give me an idea what I could get for my budget..Thanks C

you should just be in the frame for a late 1100/ early 1150.

worth biding your time and trawling through ebay and autotrader and of course our very own for sale and wants section at least a couple of times a day

seen a few higher mileage 1150's fully loaded sell for around that sort of money

just gotta get lucky before the spring.... when the prices go up

I picked up an 1100gs for less money than £3500 and had Mitchell @motorrad services fix the few bit n pieces it needed and give it a full service if it needs it then do it type of service...
Really happy with the bike as it’s a "non computer" controlled model other than the fuelling system that’s electronic, its good to work on in the garage, which could be worth bearing in mind if you can do your own spanner-work.
Some say the 1100 is better with having 5 gears rather than the 1150 which has 6 gears in the gearbox to play with… its not been any issue with me as the 5 speed has “long legs” in the gears. So long as the bike you chose has had a good full service history and reasonable mileage for its age than the choice is yours… I have had BM’s for the past 12 years and been very happy with them in general.

It may sound obvious but keep an eye on the For Sale Wanted Section... always bikes coming up for sale on there.. it would be my first port of call
