I would be grateful to you wizards if you could help. Its a simple answer to most i know but i hope you can help

I have about 14GB of backup files and it says i have only 1GB left. Does this effect the running of the computer?
Surely it's not supposed to be full or is it?
Can it be left alone or should it be cleared

Your help is much appreciated :)

If you are using a backup program (are you) and are backing up to an external drive it is just warning you that it is getting full.
If the files are on the C drive, which is where windows is (if it is not a mac.. lacking info to really help)then yes it will slow the running of the computer down.
As A.A said you haven't given much to go on...

Its the Recovery (d) files in my computer... It has 4 hard drives and i have only 1.5 out of 16 left in Recovery

Sorry guys just a bit clueless at my age :)

If it is a partition that nothing is reading from or writing to It shouldn't make a difference.
