Yes. But you have to cut it open and weld it back up to do so.

Decat headers and an accelerator module work much better than a gutted can.I know, I've done both.

Actually it's not that loud but it does save quite a bit of weight

I had an akro. It was offensively loud. I sold it and use the oe can.

The 18 year old me would cringe to hear me say this but I find the stock can on my new (to me) TC loud to the point where I would definitely need earplugs on a long trip (my previous 1100 was much quieter) - a bit too loud to be honest. I wouldn't want a louder can - but then most of my use is longer trips...

Thanks chaps. I love a loud exhaust, had a KTM 990 for a while with twin FMF's without baffles...fukcin lovely, fukcin loud!!

My Akra shotgun system is LOUD but with 30mm baffles bolted in with a spacer (47mm outlet stubs) they become very reasonable and not being a gas tight fit they don't bung up the system and don't need to be cut & welded to suit the outlet angle.

I wear earplugs & have for years I can suffer from fatigue if not,it's a known fact over 50 plus mph you will damage hearing loud pipe or not it's wind noise that does it too,I like a rasp but not a mega loud note why attract police attention !

Iv got the full BOS system on mine with baffle plus power commander perfect I have Decatted a standard pipe plus accelerator module on my 1st GS & yes it improves things

Mine is quiet enough to attract no attention going through town and on faster roads wind and intake noise are more of an issue than the exhaust. Except if the side cases are on and then the noise does reflect back.
