Sorry if this is a stupid question .. But is it easy to fit a tank cover, not bag, to a GS. I fitted one on a CBR in minutes but I know it can differ with make / model

Thanks

no. On the 1150 gs one strap goes around the frame above the air intake on the left the other goes around the black plastic on the right.

This is a 1200 and there are 8 straps and 4 of them, 2 on each side, appear to go under the side panels????

Many thanks that's a great help

Until I got the cover and the bike (an '06-plate 1200GS) in the same place, the straps on the cover didn't make much sense - on mine it made it easier to remove both the big side covers and the small rear lower covers. But working through it methodically, resisting the temptation to put straps around oil pipes () it all came together very nicely. I would assume you'll find similar with your 12-plate.

Thanks for the info, I think I will do the same. I am doing it tomorrow, so fingers crossed I dont cock it up:blast:blast
