Anyone here use the Baglux Tank Covers on their GSA ? Would be interested in your experiences with them if you can spare a mo' ....

e.g.

Ease of fitting.
Waterproof features (or none ?)
Aesthetics

Thanks !

I have had baglux on my last three bikes. Easy to fit on all of them, looks OK and survives all weathers.

I have the alpha bag at the moment on the GSA. I would not fill it to the brim but it fits and does the job for me.

Have a baglux cover on my GSA- it fits quite well but is very stiff when new and took time to mould to the tank- its now fine.

As regards the bag- I have the standard alpha bag and it can swallow a lot of stuff- as I only use it as a bag for transport on hols for non-valuable stuff as the rest gets locked in a pannier.
I dont think it really requires the rucksack straps- they do take up some room. As regards bulk- dont really notice it when on the move- between the arms that is. I am carrying some extra 'luggage' on my person (if you get my drift) but if I were a little smaller I wouldn't notice it. The clocks and my GPS don't get obscured, and the handlebar controls on full lock don't really bother it.

:thumb what they both said. Have had a cover on my last 3 GS's, all OK. Agree with the comment about straps on the alpha bag. Took a stanley knife to mine :D

have one fitted :thumb easiest to fit when very warm then goes on simple.

use it with both a map bag and the small bag both are fine.

im a baglux fan

got my gsa 18months ago.

in comparision with fitting to a vfr - must ensure that the harness is warm when fitting to a gsa.

chnged from an alpha bag to minea which works really well for me on the gsa.

I am a bit of a fan of baglux covers as they protect the tank as well as provide a tank bag attachment.

I think the only bag that fits the GSA is th Alpha as I also have one.

On my previous 955i Tiger there was 2 options the dzeta and city trail.

I prefer a smaller bag like the city trail.

The problem with the alpha is that it is so long it drops down at rear. When you undo the zip, stuff at the top can spill out.

Manageable by using wash bags from poundstores or Alpinestars glove bags to act as secondary storage bags.

They're brilliant

But having had them on various bikes for over 13 years :thumb I'm going try out the BMW Tank bag which a fellow Tosser has sold me.

My black Baglux tank harness and Alpha Bag will therefore appear in the Items for Sale section very soon! :clap
