Does anyone have experience of using a Bagster "City Trail" tank bag on an R1200GS?

I ask in that: I have the standard Bagster tank cover, on an R1200GS and have acquired a "City Trail" 8 liter bag; I understood that the Bagster bags are a "universal" fit to the Bagster tank covers; if I connect the metal clips at the rear of the tank, the "D" rings do not reach the mounting hoops at the front; similarly, if I attach the "D" rings at the front, the clips at the rear do not reach.

Am I missing some strap extensions so the the "D" rings reach the front mounting points?

Bagster do two sizes of fitting, the city trail is one of the few bags designed for the smaller fitting system.

The reason for the smaller fitting system is for things like trail bikes with small petrol tanks, hence not enough room for the standard spacing of clips and D ring

OK, thank you - pity Baglux aren't so informative, accepting that it is a discontinued item... but in terms of the GS tank design, it's a perfect size whereas, in example, the Alpha bag is IMO far too big a footprint!

Oh well, time to start thinking on how to make the bag fit for purpose - and in deed, fit the tank cover.

We used the "Tweety" which was a nice size.

I now do my own fixing systems using nylon straps, elastic, and poppers, and to be honest we have never looked at buying Bagster stuff again.

Now have a Kriega "Tank" fitted to the bike and then make suitable fixings for virtually any bag we fancy fitting.

The Kriega US5 is used as a day to day tank bag, even this I fit with poppers rather than using the official fixing method, far easier to fit/remove. If I want a bit more space then I use a Hein Gierick mag mount tank bag with straps made to secure it to the Kriega Tank instead of the magnets.
