lots of views,

no one interested,

looks like there will be 3 other GS riders from the other site coming along.

Mostly vfrs to be honest its not the type of bikes that matters just the bikers who turn up for a ride.

Experienced riders, (not power rangers,) some maybe two up, myself included on the rt.

Hope some can make it.:thumb2

B*gger, would have loved to join you (it's about the closest anyone gets to Norwich), but I'm travelling home from France on that day.

Roll on the next one...

Thats good,

The weather is so unpredictable at the moment.

Fantastic biking day saturday, sunday more rain again,:blast

Hope the weather gets ok for the Monday, as i think more will decide if the weather is good they will be out.
:)

garmin route,

for those interested,

thanks for the interest so far, will keep you updated as the week goes on.

Bikerssnug,

Its a break away group from, Bikers oracle vfr group, we all ride various bikes, beemers, kwaks, honda, ducatis,Susuki just to name some.

it is also posted on the vft site, by John933, you can view it there, the bikers snug is a invitation only site, in a way to avoid trools etc.

the vfr site, have suddenly not wanted our two groups to have an organised rideout, (just to be honest with you) some politics going on,

At the end of the day we are just bikers, mostly mature ones;) wanting to go out on our bikes,

From what I can say at the moment we have 10 bikes and I think 5 are gs's.

Not everyone posts to say they are coming along, so will keep an eye on who is interested.

You ride at your own pace, I will tec for the group, and Martin will lead, on a vfr.

I hope the rain stops by then.

Anymore questions just ask.

Hope to see some of you at the Sunday meet in Bedford.

Paul

Re: East Anglia Bank Holiday 5th May
Reply #80 - Yesterday at 11:06pm So...who's coming?

Skids
Paul 13
Royston Rocket
Pants
Ford Prefect
John 933 ???
Chippy
ibutcher
Red Rocket
Blackbird ???
Nobbyk (if McBride will let him go )
Kieran

Eeek, that's more than I was expecting. Never led a rideout before...any tips?

With that number, we should be ok for a Lead/TEC "drop off" rideout (Paul 13 has volunteered for TEC I believe). If anyone has any questions about using the drop off system, give me a call or PM. I will cover it again on the day anyway. I will also give everyone my mobile # which I can answer on the bike. I will also point out on the day that this is just a group of friends out riding. At all times you are responsible for your own riding. You should pick lines, choose speeds according to your own perceptions, not others. It is not a race, ride at a pace you are comfortable with. No overtaking other riders under braking and just be very careful when you do overtake another rider.

RV will be at Red Lodge for 11am (awaiting Pants getting off work). Now let's all pray for good weather.

Just picked this up from the snug site,

will keep you updated as we go.

Never led a rideout before...any tips?

If you're leading, work out what speed the last rider should be riding at and then subtract 1mph for every rider in the convoy to arrive at the speed you should be travelling at, at the front.

Have fun. If I wasn't returning from France on Monday, I'd be joining you. I was in Hunstanton last weekend and it was packed. The scorching sunshine helped, of course. I saw my first F650GS there, but no other GSes (although there were a couple in Wells).

Ok Just to confirm,

Meet at red Lodge for departure for 11am,

Arriving from 10am, if you want tea, food etc.

Anyone who want my mobile number please send me a pm, and will send it over.

Hope to see some of you in the morning.

Was a great day in the end, 13 bikes came along, 3gs's, one rt, most of the others honda vfrs, and a ducati sidecar cobination, i kid you not.

The weather was superb, had a great run to Hunstanton, and back, roads busy, but ok to get round the traffic,

If there is another one will post up.

Rob K, thanks for coming along, hope you enjoyed the day even if you did take a different route to Hunny,

Hope to see some of the Bedford crew again, out on our bikes.

Paul

Thanks for the invite Paul13, great day out with great weather and a good bunch of chaps, espically John with his tub of rasberry ripple - top bloke.

c u soon.

Yes he is a great character,

sorry you missed the ford, suggestion is to do it in the summer, so the gs bikers can go across it.

Everyone has reported back in on the snug, and vfr site.

As I put on the Bedford meet, can not make the next meet as the club has a get together in Scotland,

Hope to see you again soon.
