Ive decided i want a wc, but i will almost certainly need bar risers.

Anyone used bar risers or put different bars on? and a. Did they mean the bars hit the dash? b. were they a noticeable improvement comfort wise compared to standard?

I have bar risers on mine. I think I got them from Touratech. Definitely a worthwhile improvement for riding comfort. I have no negative remarks to make about them.

Initially I had the touratech 15mm risers, but sold them and got the Wunderlich 40mm up and back risers. They are perfect, for me.:thumb

I fancy some of the Wunderlich risers, did you need to modify any cables?

I have a pair of Rox Risers left over from my Explorer but they pull the bars back/up 50mm and I think that this might be just a touch too far for the standard cables??

The wunderlich ones advise you to unclip the brake hose under the Airbox, to gain some slack as the brake hose will touch the top yoke on full lock, needless to say you can get away without unclipping the hose if you want, if your bike is a 2014 model the brake hose is no longer clamped under the tank.

The wunderlich ones are the best, my opinion, before fitting these 150 miles and i was in pain, after, 700 mile splash n dash thro Europe in a day no problem.

Would you guys please also indicated your height as well together with the bar riser height you are using?
The rest might get a better idea what is suitable for them.

I have the touratech risers but have now had my seat altered and wanted something higher. I have ordered the Roxspeed Pivoting Risers with 2" lift.

I didn't on my 2013 bike, and as Dave says above, you definitely don't need to on the 2014.:beerjug:

I'm 5'10

Another one for wunderlich up and back 40mm
I was suffering from shoulder burn with the original settings ,I'm 5.7" with a 6foot reach ...........:eek
No problems since fitting the risers my elbows are now down and back and with the lowered seat I feel I'm sitting in the bike rather than on it did a 650 mile run in one day not a problem .

Sounds good, I would still like to know if anyone has fitted the pivoting Rox Risers that give 50mm lift/back radius.

I really just want to know if the cables will reach without modifying.
