Check these out at £33 delivered or less if you go for the unpainted version. They are stainless so wont crack like the Toura**** ones. Oh yeah, £33 is less than 50% Toura**** prices and they look so very similar. :augie

Mine arrived today and finish is excellent.

Oh yeah you have to wait a bit for the ebay process for this price. One went 30min ago for this cheap price with only 1 bid, same when I got mine.

Sorry snoopy but stainless is much more prone to cracking from vibrations than aluminum in my experience with both materials. The reason the touratech guard cracks is down to poor design, they don't have a significant radius at the various bends and edges. Go for the unpainted version and attack at all the edges with a round file to get a good radius and it should be good to go :thumb2

It's spot on as it is no need for any filing. My experience with SS is it's less prone to cracking. :P

Another expert will be along shortly to tell me otherwise though. :)

:rob 10 years designing, building and refurbing machinery tells me otherwise :handbag

only joking :D if all the corners are well rounded it'll be fine :thumb2

In all seriousness keep a eye on the thing will you, mine cracked and was hitting the chain, dread to think what could have happened if it' had got caught up:eek:

I think it's the least of my worries. I'm intending to ride the bike up from Spain come Friday on collapsed bearings in the rear dogbone. :D

can't you source a replacement dogbone and replace it before you set off, no point in making life any more difficult for yourself.

I wanted to but I've no knowledge of the 650 rear suspension or which bit has broke but Micky mentioned bearings....

BMW Seville said it was dangerous to ride off-road but would make it back to the UK.
