help im trying to sort through the info about handlebars
:( :( :spitfire i droped my 94 funduro and bent the handle bars :spitfire :(
today :spitfire so i now need replacement bars i have been told that i would be better off with steel bars as they are less likely to break when you slide down the road like i did today :spitfire :spitfire :spitfire
on the renthalllllls site i can only find details of alloy bars when the chaingang site says that they do a steel bar as a direct replacement
has any one got any expreiance ect in which bars they have fitted and
how you found them

ps i can recomend heppco becker panniers as they saved the bike from some serious dammage and with bugger all damage :)

Hi Wedgie,

I have looked into the handlebar issue in some detail and have found that unless you go for the BMW bars you wont find a direct replacement.

Another point is that I have never heard of Renthal making steel bars. I suggest you take your tape measure and make rough dimensions of the existing ones and try and find the closest fit on the Renthals. Luckily it should be a straight forward swop on the ST, Funduros and FLs whole different ballgame on the GS's

Good luck

Hi Wedgie

Can't help you with the bars, but sorry to hear about your spill... the lad told me! Hope you didn't mark the Atlantis pants.. well not from the outside

Good to hear that you're OK...
