I use the isocool too and wash a wear on a long trip.

They don’t appear to do IsoCool leggings in fat bloke size. The tops work well.

I hate this site as I've just spent £50 on new stuff too.

Halvarssons long sleeved moisture wicking base layer with windproof front is the hands down best undergarment I've ever used on a bike, summer or winter. Mine is the mesh sweater one with a wind blocker front. Makes it dead easy removing leather jacket when it's hot and sticky and helps keep you warm as a base layer when cold.

Merino is great for warmer rides. Non-smelly, quick dry (you can wash in the evening and dry overnight on a long trip) and keeps you cool when it's hot, and warm in cooler weather.

But for cold rides, I have found Reed Chillcheater "Transpire" to be fabulous https://www.chillcheater.com/products/transpire-fleece-set

It's sold for kayaking because it dries super-quick, it's lovely and warm, and helps retain body heat even when it gets wet! Brilliant!

I took the Icebreaker lightweight merino wool tops and bottoms to the Pyrenees last week and had the normal mixed bag of weather. It was great on the wet/cold days but we had a couple of days of 30 degrees, when it was too warm. However, I was wearing a laminate suit with pretty good venting but I was still too hot. I think it would have been better with my Revit Sand 3. Next time I'm going to take a mixture of synthetic and Merino wool baselayers.

the amusingly named running leggings are Isocool and come in 3XL

https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/mens-running-leggings-p24350.aspx/black/ - these have 4XL greyed out so might be restocked
Thanks for that. I've ordered some and we'll see how they perform.

If you have a local branch, get them to order them for you. They will still be delivered to your home but there is no postage charge even if the order is less than £50

I use the Halvarsson's meash base layer all year round. Wicks moisture away in hotter weather and keeps wind chill off the front in colder weather.

In the end I went for mountain warehouse icecool shirts. Dry in no time at all.
