Basemap Europe vs Atlantic

I've just bought my bargain 2610 from boysstuff, and it has the atlantic mapbase loaded. Am I right in thinking that this cannot be changed, and therefore I need to return it and get a european basemap version?. It came with the V8 CD.

The Atlantic basemap IS the European one.
