I'm having trouble removing my bash plate to change the oil, the nuts feel like they are going to round off. Has anyone had this problem, and any solutions would be apreciated.....

Yep I had this problem - and after much cursing they did finally move. WD40 is the way to go . I ended up using an Imperial socket size which was a bit tighter than the metric and I got em off. Remember to replace them with good lock nuts or you may just have a nasty shock if your bash plate dangles around under your bike one day.

stuck bash plate

mine was the same moose, give the threads a good clean when you eventually get it off, the nuts stick on because the thread is a dissimallar metal causing it to corrode on, if you put some copper slip on the threads before refitting you can prevent this (as the copper in the grease corrodes instead). it would be a good idea to use new nylock nuts on refitting if you can find somewhere near you that sells them, lastly go easy when tightening the nuts up because if the threads have corroded too much they will shear with less torque than new ones (as i found out!) andy :)
