I'm looking for a good alternative to the TT bash plate for the 12ADV.

I've been waiting for mine from TT now since the beginning of August (no surprise there :spitfire )

After a phone call to them yesterday (again), I've been told that BMW had a problem with the current design, so TT are having to re-design it :nenau

So, I guess the new one should be ready by 2010, ready to ship by 2011

What's out there for this bike?

Cheers :thumb

So what's the problem with the TT bash plate?, the one's i have seen look really good, yet the bash plate from Moto-ap says, This plate kit fastens to existing bolt holes and the original exhaust system, Now I would have thought not to fasten to the exhaust IMHO
:mmmm

I don't know, I was told that BM weren't happy with it :nenau

You know what TT are like, they're full of shit and excuses for most of the time :(

I'm waiting for a Wunderlich bash plate that's on back order. Not really sure what b-plate works best, but the Wunderlich looks cool.

I knocked my standard 1200GS bashplate off on Monday  (steep step down on rocky path) - (hopefully) doesn't seem to have done any damage to bashplate or engine: the four plastic mounts all sheared, seemingly absorbing the shock and saving the rest of the bike.

Seems to me it did the job perfectly - (I'll wait to see when the bike goes to the garage next week, though). Why would I be better off with an aftermarket bashplate?
