Battery and Side Stand Switch Recall

My mate has just had a call from dealer saying that his 2014 R1200GS LC was in a batch which were being recalled for faulty battery and side stand switch. He has already had a new battery due to failure but they are still going to replace it .

He was also told that he would receive £100 credit to spend as a "good will" gesture, that's bloody good i thought

Anyone else heard of any recalls for this?

Yep, my 2014MY went in a fortnight ago for 6k service and received new side stand switch and battery though hadn't had any difficulty or problems with either item.

Yes, mine is in on the 21st when its having its 1st service. The recall is being done then.

Mine's getting the battery when in for the 6k service later this month. I didn't ask about the switch, but I will.
