Oxford Oximiser or Optimate

Had an Optimate but it no longer seems to work on any of the bikes so I'm looking to replace.

Any preferences amongst the collective?

A mate has a charger that keeps his flashy Porsche topped up and he says its great. He told me the make , which I've forgotten, and then said but dont but one buy the ALdi one because its the same unit with a different name.

Go to smaller stores somewhere and they might have some left

Optimate IV came out tops in a recentish test.

I have an Optimate III SP which works fine on the '08 12GSA. I fitted an accessory socket direct to the battery with an in-line fuse as the canbus shuts down the oem socket with ignition off.
