Has anyone had any luck using anything like this instead of an optimate?

I have no power to my garage and it would be nice to keep the battery topped up at the weekends when I'm not using the bike.

Should work, however make sure a charge regulator is fitted as the solar panel will continue working after the battery is fully charged potentially causing damage/overheating.

NB I don't know owt about the C Bus system on BMW's yet so you may need to take that into account when fitting.
