Owned bike since new. Three weeks ago bike was slow to start. Since it was the original battery, went to dealer and purchased a new battery. Road bike over that weekend and parked in garage Sunday night. The next Saturday morning bike bike was completely dead. Put on a battery charger and road my R850R to bicycle race. Saturday night battery would not charge and I purchased another new battery (non BMW) from a regular retail store. Road R1200GS that Sunday morning to race. Parked again Sunday night. Wednesday afternoon battery too discharge to start bike. I removed battery from bike and charged. That Friday installed battery and road bike to bicycle race. At the end of the day, I disconnect negative lead from battery until next day. Reconnected battery that morning and road bike all day and to home. I put an AMP meter between negative lead and battery and get 0.061 milli-amps which I don't think is enough to discharge battery in a few days. The GS-911 gives a normal read out with no error codes. Something has to be drawing current more than the 0.061 milli-amps I am getting with the bike in the switch off position. Thanks John
Do you any tracker or anything fitted? I had a similar issue with my Biketrac, shitty reception was causing the bike to poll frequently, quick call to them, they changed some settings and hey presto problem solved
