Battery Replacement

Can anyone recommend a replacement battery for a Dakar and where to buy from? Seems to be a number of manufacturers, dont know which are good and which are c**p.

Stick to something like Yuasa/Varta/Exide/Lucas, or if you want to go the extra, Odyssey. You won't go far wrong with any of these.

I can do you a Varta for £27 plus post. The battery is supplied dry, so you would need to have it filled.

Go for a sealed battery, a lot better power and you dont get acid trickling out the breather tube. Have a search on the forum for westco.

Bought mine off ebay.

I got one from Heine Gerike for £29. They filled it with acid for me too, which was nice.

In my experience the odyssey is well worth the extra, sealed and on the 1150 it never went flat even when left for 2 months without use.
