Bedfordshire Ride Outs?

Hi Mick,
I'm Ok for Saturday, just need the where and when and I'll be there.
 
Yep its very hot and as much as i dont like doing it i somtimes wear just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt as its just far to hot to stick all the gear on. :rolleyes:

If its ok with everyone lets meet in Bedford on the embankmant just opersite a bridge their is a pub with a table and chairs outside, have a look at map below. 1200 meet if your all ok and we can cool ourselves with a pint of coke or two :beer: Any problems just email me.

Well the forecast is rain so pack a mack! Is the meeting place that sort of Bistro place next to the park? They used to do Banana milkshakes with Vodka in them many years ago.. :bounce1 :bounce1

So where are we off to? I am all excited now.
 
I'll be coming,work permitting.Any idea where we're going,or are we still gonna busk it?.
BTW,my offroad riding buddy has just informed me that,(in his opinion),Ashwell Street is as hard as nails,and the going is good enough for a novice offroader on a GS.The trail runs between Ashwell and Royston,so it's not too long either.If anyones interested,I'll sort out the maps etc.He's an ex GS Owner himself,and may well accompany us.
Looking forward to Saturday,(with fingers crossed that work doesn't affect play)....

I can't make sat due to work hopefully next time. Heres a couple of waypoints if you have mapsource its a byway near Ashwell very dry so if your going that way you can try it have a good time.

The pub is just about 200m further down from the Bistro place near the park, not sure were to go but that small off road trip that Lance was talking about sounds good. :cool:

We could always ride up to northampton BMW the back way? or do the off rode bit etc. I really dont mind what we do or where we go. Just wanted to meet up and have a ride, beats travelling 100 miles just to start a ride! :eek

Sounds great to me, I will load the waypoints up tonight, I will need petrol so do you want to meet up at the garage Mick?

Thats great i need to fuel up as down to 70 miles shall we meet say 1140 1145 ish? :cool:

Just got back from the Stella Alpina. Would have been good to get a Bedford gathering down in the mountains. Maybe next time?

What a great afternoon!.And to round it off,I hardly saw a drop of rain after we headed our separate ways.Nice to meet you all,and I hope we can do something similar soon.I'm up for the off-road course too,as soon as I know the prospective dates I'll try to organise the time off.

I'd like to add my thanks Mick for setting the meet up. We should have stayed with you. We got ABSOLUTELY SOAKED on the way back from MK. Serves us right for being a sad old couple. We're up for the next meet tho'. Thanks again and great to meet you all.

I enjoyed my afternoon,first meet and first ride,thanks Lance for leading us at a sensible pace.I bought my waterproofs then rode home in the dry!!!!!!! doh!!

Hi Dave, i am working Monday so dont think i can make it. While we are on the subject of rides outs, how do you fancy doing that gentle off road section that we talked about last week? I am free this Sat at about 1200 for 4-5 hours if your up for it? And for that matter anyone else who wants to give a very gentle bit of off roading a go???? Bugger, we are off to Chesterfield at the weekend as it is my Fathers birthday, so I will have to skip this time. But def for the next outing!
