Wednesday June 9th I was on the Portsmouth Santander ferry the ferry was inundated with Lambretta riders, they have a euro jubilee on the 12th 13th, they made the ferry deck a bit smelly when they all fired up before off loading in Santander.
Anyway I was heading for the picos for a couple of days, staying at the La Pisa in Anzio for two nights (Nr Potes)

Rather then go straight to Potes thought I would have a bimble, I followed the A112 along the North of the Picos, hung a left down the N625 followed that until I reached the N621 and then followed that to Potes and Anzio, I was amused that one to the villages I went through was called Poo.

Very wiggly roads, a bit worrying when you meet a coach travelling in the opposite direction but great road, would have been more fun if I stopped pissing down with the wet stuff.

Friday pissing down again went to Fuente De to say Ive been there, was not paying to have a trip into the clouds so after a few coffees in the Cafe went for another bimble

Down the C184,C627, the rain stopped at this point so I had a great couple of hours chasing the vanishing point down the C624, C626 CL615 and then back along the 621 to Potes again.

Will try to post a few pics when I get time although stopping in the rain did not do the camera any good and then with the dry patch I just wanted to enjoy myself.

Today Saturday start on the next trip, went north of Potes and turned right at La Harminda on the CA 282, now there is a winding road followed that then the CA 180 , CA 850 and then cross country to Pamplona, some amazing country lanes shame about the rain again.

Tomorrow on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees until just before Sort and then over to Bagneres du Luchon before a couple of days playing over the Tourmalet etc. Hope the rain stops, will keep you in touch with progress.

weather forcast is rain till friday, unlucky is the word! there is some pretty decent cider in them hills though

PICOS

You were unlucky we were there two weeks ago and the weather was 80 degrees all week.
Rode down the gorge to Cain for cuppa and the road has been tarmaced, it's now a dodle and well worth a look,Trevisio ride was a bit rouigher, the road has nearly disapeared it must have been a bad winter as all high roads are broken up.
We found it quite cheap this year, petrol, 1.12 euros a litre and beer 1.3/2 euros for half a litre and traffic, there isn't any so enjoy yoursell
