Beeps

Hi Guys

Quick question I have a fairly new 2610 with the latest maps loaded, i was using it in Ireland last week and on a couple of occassions the unit beeped at me first time was 3 beeps and then again a single beep. I hadnt loaded any routes or waypoints I just put a destination in and off I went. Any idea's why it happend

I know I should probably read the instruction's but hey

mine did the same, you have to diable the I.R window. from memory press menu options menu again then disable I.R window

if i have it wrong....... someone will correct me

YES IT WAS SUNNY THATS 2 YEARS IN A ROW IVE BEEN TO THE NW200 AND IT WAS SUNNY

You're exactly correct Martin, I had this problem myself, the beeping also precedes loss of detail on the map, although voice instructions continue Anyway, since I disabled the IR control, I've had no beeps.
