A mate and I are planning a trip to Belarus next year. We know are current insurance companies won't cover us for there, any of you Worldly wise, have any suggestions ref this matter. I take it we maintain are current companies, and get extra cover from somewhere else, to run in conjuntion.
Your advise would be most welcome.
Hi there Schwarz Baron
We rode through Belarus earlier this year. We were on transit visas because for the full visa you need references etc. and as we were just passing through on our trip then the transit visas were OK. We bought insurance at the border at 3$ for the bike and 2$ for health cover (each). We had our own health insurance but didn't argue, two dollars cheap enough! We rode through several countries with no insurance at all, Mongolia for instance, but then that's the risk you take eh! Full story on

If I can be of any further help...
Cheers
